DOMINIC LEBLANC AND JONATHAN CORMIER TO MIRAMICHI

DOMINIC LeBLANC TRADED TO MIRAMICHI

The Grand Falls Rapids have traded forward DOMINIC LeBLANC to the Miramichi Timberwolves in return for defenseman DEVIN JOHNSON, forward ZACHARIE CHAREST, the rights to BRODY PARÉ, a FIRST ROUND DRAFT PICK in the 2025 draft, a SECOND ROUND PICK in the 2025 draft as well as FUTURE CONSIDERATIONS.

Dominic LeBlanc will be remembered as one of the Rapids’ most prolific and spectacular players ever to wear the uniform. In three seasons with Grand Falls, LeBlanc scored 68 goals while adding 69 assists for a total of 137 points in 114 games. A true leader on and off the ice, he was also named team captain at the beginning of the current season.

Grand Falls and the Rapids’ organization wishes him good luck with his new team.

Being added to the Rapids’ roster is 18-year-old defenseman Devin Johnson who played in 18 games this season with Miramichi, compiling a record of 1g and 2a.

As for Zacharie Charest, a 2003-born forward from St-Alexandre (Quebec), his record this season with the Timberwolves was 6g and 4a for 10pts.

Brody Paré (17 years old) is a familiar name with the Rapids as he played one game with the team last season as an affiliated player. He is currently a member of the Fredericton Capitals Midget AAA team.

JONATHAN CORMIER TRADED TO MIRAMICHI

The Rapids have also announced that the rights to defenseman JONATHAN CORMIER have been traded to the Miramichi Timberwolves in return for future considerations.

Cormier played two seasons with the Rapids from 2021 to 2023, picking up 19 points in 90 games.

The Rapids’ organization would like to wish Jonathan the best of luck with his new team.
