LES RAPIDES METTENT SOUS CONTRAT L’ATTAQUANT NICK ABBOTT
Après avoir été acquis par l’équipe de Collingwood de la Ligue Junior de l’Ontario, NICK ABBOTT vient de signer avec les Rapides de Grand-Sault pour la saison 2020-2021 de la LHM.
L’attaquant de 20 ans, qui est commis avec la formation de Canisius College dans la NCAA (division 1), a disputé ses dernières campagnes dans la BCHL, OJHL ainsi que la CCHL.
Originaire de Bonavista, Terre-Neuve, Abbott est heureux de se joindre aux Rapides pour la prochaine saison.
« Je suis très excité de m’aligner avec une organisation avec autant de classe lors de ma dernière saison d’éligibilité au niveau junior. Je prévois m’imposer dès le départ et permettre aux Rapides de faire un bon bout de chemin en séries, tout en ayant la communauté derrière nous », mentionne-t-il.
L’entraîneur-chef Brad Mackenzie décrit son nouveau protégé comme un joueur qui travaille très fort.
« Nick est très talentueux et ajoutera beaucoup d’offensive à notre équipe. Nous sommes heureux qu’il ait décidé de terminer sa carrière junior à Grand-Sault et nous avons hâte de pouvoir travailler ensemble ».
RAPIDS SIGN FORWARD NICK ABBOTT
After being acquired from Collingwood of the Ontario Junior Hockey League, NICK ABBOTT has signed with the Grand Falls Rapids for rward, who is committed to Canisius College (NCAA division 1), spent the last few campaigns in the BCHL, OJHL and the CCHL.
A native of Bonavista, Newfoundland, Abbott is glad to be joining the Rapids for the upcoming season.
“I’m very excited to be playing for a first-class organization in my final season of Junior hockey. I’m looking to come in, make an impact, and go on a long playoff run with the community behind us”, mentions the Rapids’ newcomer.

The 20-year old foHead coach Brad Mackenzie describes Abbott as a hard-working player.
“Nick is highly skilled and will add offense to our group. We are happy he has made the decision to finish his junior career in Grand Falls and are looking forward to working together this season”.
