LES RAPIDES FONT L’ACQUISITION DE L’ATTAQUANT NICK ABBOTT
Les Rapides de Grand-Sault ont fait l’acquisition de l’attaquant NICK ABBOTT, un joueur âgé de 20 ans qui évoluait la saison dernière dans la Ligue Junior de l’Ontario (OJHL).
Acquis en retour de considérations futures, Abbott avait initialement été repêché par l’organisation des Rapides en 2017. Il a disputé les dernières campagnes dans les circuits juniors de la Colombie-Britannique et de l’Ontario. En 2019-2020, il a disputé un total de 46 parties avec Markham et Brantford dans la OJHL.
Natif de Bonavista (Terre-Neuve), Abbott est commis avec la formation de Canisius College dans la NCAA Division 1). Les Rapides sont heureux de faire son ajout auprès de leur alignement puisqu’il apportera beaucoup de vitesse, d’habileté et de leadership auprès de l’équipe.
Les Rapides lui souhaitent la bienvenue à Grand-Sault ainsi qu’auprès de l’organisation.
RAPIDS ACQUIRE FORWARD NICK ABBOTT
The Grand Falls Rapids have acquired 20-year old forward NICK ABBOTT from the Ontario Junior Hockey League for future considerations.
Abbott was originally drafted by the Rapids’ organization in the 2017 MHL draft and spent the last few campaigns in the BCHL and Ontario Junior Leagues. In 2019-2020, he played a total of 46 games with Markham and Brantford of the OJHL.
A native of Bonavista, Newfoundland, Abbott is committed to Canisius College (NCAA Division 1). The Rapids are happy to add Abbott’s skill, speed and leadership to the roster.
