RAPIDS SELECT FOUR PLAYERS IN THE QMJHL SUPPLEMENTAL DRAFT

 

The Maritime Junior A Hockey League held this week the supplemental draft involving players from the QMJHL.

For the occasion, the Grand Falls Rapids selected the following four players:

*JACOB BEAULIEU

Right winger born in 2006

QMJHL team: Saint John Seadogs

Jacob, a 17-year-old from La Pocatière (Quebec), played in 53 games with the Seadogs during the 2023-2024 season (3g 3a). He played in 43 games the previous season with Saint John.

*ANTOINE FONTAINE

Centre born in 2006

QMJHL team: Halifax Mooseheads

Antoine played in 54 games last season with the Mooseheads (0g 3a). During the 2022-2023 campaign, the Granby native scored 23 goals with Magog in AA Midget.

*CONNOR MACEY

Right winger born in 2005

QMJHL team: Val D’Or Foreurs

A native of Sutton (Quebec), Connor scored 5 goals and added 5 assists in 51 games last season for the Foreurs. He is also a product of the Magog Cantonniers U18 hockey program.

*CHRISTOPHE BERTHELOT

Left winger born in 2006

QMJHL team: Chicoutimi Saguenéens

Born in St-Eustache (Quebec), Christophe finished the 2023-2024 season with a record of 3g and 3a in 41 games with the Saguenéens during the regular season and 1g 2a in the playoffs.
