The Timberwolves reduced the margin to one goal at 12:43 on Alexis Ouellet’s first of the season.
It took until the 9-minute mark of the second period before either team could register a shot on goal in the frame. It came on a breakaway from Matthew Ferdinand of the Rapids who was denied by Flanagan. Grand Falls did, however, finish the period with a 15 to 1 advantage in shots on goal.
