RAPIDS RECEIVE FORWARD ANTOINE L’ITALIEN IN A TRADE

The Grand Falls Greenfot Rapids have traded forward DERECK ASSELIN to the Côte-du-Sud Everest QJHL in exchange for forward ANTOINE L’ITALIEN and a Player Development Fee (PDF).

L’Italien, an 18-year-old Quebec native, comes to the Rapids after finishing off a strong 2025-2026 campaign with Côte-du-Sud, scoring 28 goals while adding 18 assists in 34 regular season games.

He also played in 10 games for the Shawinigan Cataractes of the QMJHL, scoring 2 goals while adding 2 assists.

As for Asselin (19 years-old), he finished last season with a record of 7 goals and 16 assists for 23 points in 49 regular season games with the Rapids.

The Rapids welcome Antoine to the team and wish all the best of luck to Dereck with his new team.
