JEFF COWAN NAMED AS RAPIDS NEW HEAD COACH
The Grand Falls are happy to announce that JEFF COWAN will become the team’s new head coach for the upcoming 2026-2027 MHL season.
Cowan was the Rapids assistant coach for the past four seasons, helping the team to its first playoff appearance last spring since the team’s arrival in Grand Falls.
He replaces Greg Leland behind the bench, thus becoming the Rapids’ fifth head coach since their inaugural 2018-2019 campaign.
The Ontario native played a total of 434 games in the National Hockey League with Calgary, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Vancouver.
In 2019, he was named the interim head coach of the Saint John Seadogs of the QMJHL.
The Rapids’ organization wishes Jeff all the best of luck in his new function as head coach!
