- EDMUNDSTON – Carl-Anthony Massé scored three times while goaltender Austin Caley stopped all 19 shots he faced, both guiding the Edmundston Blizzard to a 3-0 victory over the Rapids on Thursday night at the Jean-Daigle Centre.
Massé scored his 17th, 18th and 19th goals of the season as the Blizzard won for a 34th time this season. For the Rapids, it was a 9thconsecutive game without a victory.

Adam Lecours had a solid game between the pipes, blocking 43 shots.
Carl-Anthony Massé scored his first of the night at 11:36 of the opening frame as he came in front of the Rapids’ net, scoring on a backhander. Former Rapids’ defenseman Raphaël Denis assisted on the goal.
The second period went scoreless as both teams lacked intensity at times. Edmundston led 30 to 15 in shots on goal through two periods of play.
Massé added his second goal of the night at 8:54 of the third period after he skated by a couple of Rapids’ players to beat Lecours on a low shot. He completed the hat trick at 17:45 on a shot from the face off circle, bringing the final score to 3-0.
The Rapids came close to score with under two minutes remaining in the game, but Austin Caley was able to preserve the shutout bid, making a brilliant stick save on a two-on-one break.
Both teams went scoreless on the power play on two opportunities with the man advantage.
